Caroline Su

Winner, 2022 MTNA VA State Competition

Caroline Su is an 8th grader at Longfellow Middle School in McLean, VA. She started her piano lessons at age 6 and studies with Lisa Emenheiser Sarratt.

Caroline was a first-place winner at the 2022 MTNA VA state competition, first at the 2022 William Knabe International Competition, first at the NVMTA Achievement Awards (2023, 2021, 2019), first at the 2023 NVMTA District Auditions, VI Prize at the 2021 Chopin International Competition, first at the 2022 Miriam Gottlieb Competition and the 2023 WMTA Hartman Competition. She has been awarded at numerous NVMTA/VMTA events including the 2023 Robert Spencer Concerto Competition.

Caroline has performed at venues such as the Kennedy Center Reach in Washington, DC, the Hungarian Embassy, the Indiana University Auer Hall, and the UMBC Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall. She also attended the Indiana University Piano Academy in 2022. Caroline is an active member of the Tacy Foundation and performs regularly, sharing her love of music with communities across the DC region. Recently, she gave her first solo recital to members of the VA Lions Club at the Goodwin House. Caroline cares very much about preserving the planet and enjoys competition math, volleyball, and listening to music.
