Huiping Cai

Winner, 2017 Philadelphia International Piano Competition

Charismatic and popular with audiences in recital and concerto settings, Huiping Cai is an engaging pianist renowned for her lyricism, musicality, and formidable technique. After winning First Prize, Best Concerto Award, and Best Recital Award at the 2017 Philadelphia International Piano Competition, she also won first prizes at the 2018 Miami Music Festival Piano Concerto Competition, the 2019 Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT, and the 2022 Los Angeles International Liszt Competition.

Ms. Cai has performed as a soloist across the United States and worldwide including Mexico, Russia, Kazakhstan, and her home country China.

Huiping was a student of Ching-Yun Hu and she recently graduated from New England Conservatory where she studied with Dang Thai Son. She is currently pursuing her DMA in piano performance and literature at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Alan Chow.

Junwen Liang

Winner, 2022 Philadelphia International Piano Competition

Hailed as "captivating" by Stroll Magazine, Dr. Junwen Liang, a Chinese pianist, embarked on his piano journey at the age of nine and made his solo debut at thirteen. Throughout his career, he has been featured as a soloist with Central Texas Philharmonic, Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra, and Ithaca College Symphonic Orchestra. Further accomplishments also include performing at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kimmel Center, as well as being broadcast on WSKG in New York and Philadelphia's WRTI Classical Radio.

He has also garnered invitations to participate in major festivals such as the Texas State International Piano Festival, Lunigiana International Music Festival, Baltimore International Piano Festival, Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy, Orford Musique, Art of the Piano, and Aspen Music Festival. Junwen has achieved notable success, securing major prizes in multiple competitions, including the YMIC International Music Competition, The American Prize, Juliusz Zarębski International Piano Competition, New York International Piano Competition, and Philadelphia International Piano Competition.

Junwen holds degrees from Penn State (DMA), Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (MM), and Ithaca College (BM). Currently, he pursues a graduate professional diploma at the Peabody Institute, under the tutelage of Richard Goode.
