Fenglei Wang
First Prize Winner, Shanghai Piano Open Competition
Fenglei Wang is currently studying in the Musical Middle School Affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He is working with Professor Qi Zhang on solo and concerto repertoire. He used to study with Professor Zhe Tang and Professor Fan Zhou. He held a Mozart Piano Concerto Concert in Hong Kong when he was ten years old. At age thirteen, He performed Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in his concert at Zhenzhou Poly Grand Theatre.
He has won numerous prizes, including second prize at The 23rd Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (2019) as the youngest contestant, first prize at the Shanghai Piano Open Competition (2019), and first prize at the “Ville de Gagny” International Piano Competition in France (2015).
Mr. Fenglei Wang has powerful technique, deep musicality, and nice sound variety. His readings are fresh and interesting. Despite his young age, he is a talented and devoted artist.
