Guidelines to Attend
PYPA Piano Festival

  • Applicants must be born after July 27, 1995.

    PYPA will accept up to 16 active participants.

    If not accepted as an active participant, you are automatically qualified as an observer. See Fees.

    Online application repertoire: two contrasting works, including one that shows virtuosity.

    Piano Festival does not arrange accommodation for its participants. We can recommend nearby hotels and airbnbs once confirmation of acceptance is made.

    *PYPA retains the right to replace a faculty who is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen force of nature. In the event a faculty is unable to attend due to illness or unforeseen force of nature, PYPA will not refund tuition to any participant that wishes to withdraw.​

  • ONLINE APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2024

    Participants announced and notified: MAY 6, 2024

    Participation confirmation letter and tuition due: MAY 23, 2024

    Tuition will not be refunded if participation is cancelled.

  • 2024 Application: USD$135

    2024 Active participants’ fee: USD$3,575 (includes five masterclasses, two performance classes, distinguished artist lectures, young artist concerts and participation in the Philadelphia International Piano Competition.)

    2024 Observers fee: USD$495 (Includes access to all in person concerts, lectures and masterclasses throughout the festival)

  • Scholarships are available to active students with financial need or exceptional qualifications. Interested applicants should submit a written request, along with supporting financial documentations, such as income tax returns, at the time of the application.
